While I do feel that Pete Rock’s reaction was warranted (I am on the side of NEVER remaking a legendary beat), I think picking up the phone (just as they did after the fiasco anyway) or getting on an interview to express concern would have been the way to go.

Who I would kill for a Pete Rock and Lupe album, though………
